MBFC is excited to announce that Prairieland Economic Development Corporation, of Slayton, MN, has officially merged with MBFC. Both of our companies were established in 1983 as Certified Development Companies, providing loans to small businesses via the Small Business Administration 504 loan program.
“This merger was a natural fit for MBFC. Prairieland has a well-established history of serving small businesses and this closely aligns with our vision” said Tom Saehr, CEO of MBFC. “MBFC knows the SBA 504 program through and through, and so does their team—together, we can continue to serve all the region with the SBA 504 program with our knowledgeable customer service-oriented team.”
As Minnesota’s longtime leading SBA 504 lender, MBFC office locations include St. Cloud, Excelsior, Detroit Lakes, Slayton, and West Fargo, ND. We continue to serve all of Minnesota and North Dakota, as well as Western Wisconsin. This merger gives us the opportunity to expand services to the South Dakota counties of Brookings, Deuel, Grant, Lincoln, Minnehaha, and Moody, as well as the Iowa counties of Dickenson, Lyon, and Osceola.
MBFC has been well-recognized by the financial community for many years, having earned the title of #1 SBA 504 Lender by the Minnesota SBA District Office, based on volume for the past eight consecutive years. “We are excited for what the future holds for MBFC with the additional coverage and expertise of Prairieland,” added Saehr.
