Supporting Small Business Through Economic Development!
Midwest Business Finance Corporation (MBFC) recently awarded a $5,000.00 gift to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Small Business Development Center (SBDC). The UW River Falls SBDC helps entrepreneurs succeed at any stage. They offer no-cost, confidential consulting and business education across a wide region, primarily serving Pierce, Polk and St. Croix counties in Wisconsin.
This gift helps the SBDC deploy the Entrepreneurial Training Program, a 10 week training for entrepreneurs at all stages of business. At the conclusion of the course, attendees will have produced a researched, comprehensive business plan with 3 years of financial projections to guide their progress and decisions. Graduates of the course have been shown to be 76% MORE likely to succeed at the 1 and 5 year marks than businesses that do not take the course.
