MEDF’s five primary areas of focus within their mission include:
- Sponsoring the International Economic Development Council Basic Economic Development Course serving Minnesota.
- Providing scholarship programs that provide financial support for MN economic development professionals to enroll in the IEDC courses.
- Providing community based internship grants to MN community economic development organizations.
- Updating and providing valuable reference tools and guides for economic development and city government staff throughout the state.
- Launching the Terrell Towers Memorial, which was established to help elevate emerging MN BIPOC economic development professionals in the profession.
MBFC appreciates the partnership with MEDF and their important guidance and resources given to the economic development community!
