Awarded MBFC’s VetLoan Advantage Rebate

MBFC is honored to present Scott Brand and Nilson Brand Law MBFC’s VetLoan Advantage Rebate of $3,000. This rebate is part of MBFC’s Strategic Initiative of the National Association of Development Company’s (NADCO) VetLoan Advantage program. MBFC is the only Certified Development Company in the upper Midwest to offer a rebate to Veteran business owners that are active or retired members of military service as a way to honor their service to our Country.

Nilson Brand Law is owned by Ross Nilson, Scott Brand, Ashley Heitkamp, Cassie Tostenson, and Lynn Slaathaug Moen and is located in Fargo, ND with a second location in Mayville, ND. Mike Stearns, Vice President Business Development of MBFC presented the rebate at Nilson Brand Law.

Nilson Brand Law worked with MBFC on the SBA 504 loan project to purchase a commercial office building that was constructed along with the purchase of furniture and equipment in order to relocate their Fargo, ND office from a leased location. Shelly Kegley, Bell Bank in West Fargo partnered with MBFC on the project as the lead bank. Nilson Brand Law specializes in family law, criminal defense, estate planning and probate litigation, civil litigation and business disputes, along with mediation.

Scott Brand was deployed in 2006, serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom. During that time, he provided logistics, supply management, and route security. Upon his return home in 2007, Scott continued to serve in the Army National Guard through 2014, and served in the Army Reserves through 2015.
